April. Everyone was very attentive and cooperative, and I’m
becoming a bit suspicious of some peoples behavior.
Thanks to everyone that showed up.
If we happen to have nice flyable weather on the 12th, we
could do a bit of flying in the park before the meeting. For
those who have not been in the park lately, the park has put
up two rows of posts at the south end of the pavement. We
should drive west between the two rows of posts to get to our
flying site at the south end of the park. I think they plan on
putting a gate up at the entrance of the posts, not sure when
that will show up.
For everyone that attends the Nov 12th meeting, I’ll be buying
the first couple rounds of frosty beverages at the pilots lounge
after the meeting.

Minutes
Meeting called to order. Minutes read and approved. Rusty
gave the treasurer’s report, the club has spent about $200.00
this year. The big raffle idea has been tabled indefinitely.
Doug Goldman asked if the club would approve of and the
webmaster could host the RCCA north Central District web
site. Darin made a motion to approve and Rusty made a
second motion, membership voted in favor, pending that our
webmaster would agree to do this.
Doug Goldman to check with Chetek schools to see if he
could give a demonstration and host building activities, with
interaction or competition between local schools.
Doug Goldman proposed that the club pay Leon back for
expenses incurred for insuring Leon’s field through the AMA.
The cost was $60.00. Doug Goldman made the first motion to
approve and Doug McFarland made a second motion. Item
was voted on and approved.
Discussed having a raffle to be held at a one day fun fly event
and have a possible landing fee at our next fun fly event so
we can give away some fuel and possible hobby supplies.
The next fun fly will probably be held in Moon Lake Park
because we can drive down to the field now.
Members discussed what officer positions are required by the
AMA, and the AMA requires us to have a Safety officer, a
contact person for the club and one more. Doug McFarland
won the 50/50 drawing. Nominations will be held at the next
meeting in November.
Thank you to Doug Goldman’s family for their hospitality, and
hosting this months meeting, everyone enjoyed the brats.
Announcements
Our next club meeting will be on Saturday November 12th at
6:00pm in the Parks & Recreation building. This is across the
street (to the north) of the Rice Lake Library entrance. Use
the east door closest to the lake.
On the agenda,
nominations for new club officers and any other business
needing to be presented to the board.
Extremely Important!
It’s an election year for RLMAC members. New club officer
nominations and speeches will be accepted at our November
meeting. If you cannot attend the November meeting but want
to run for an officer position, or nominate one of your fellow
club member’s for an office position, please mail your written
request to RLMAC PO Box 406 Rice Lake WI. 54812
We have a new club website and club discussion forum at
www.rlmac.org. The forum is a great place to speak out on
club issues, see what’s going on with the hobby in your area,
or just hang out and discuss with your fellow fliers.
RLMAC needs your radio frequency channels to list on our
club website and frequency use chart. Please email your
transmitter channel numbers to Jason or contact any club
officer with them.
The President’s Report
First off I’d like to give a great big thanks to Doug Goldman
and his lovely wife for sponsoring our Octoberfest fun/fly and
meeting on October 15th. That was a great feast you guys
put on for us! I was also very happy to see many people out
back flying when I arrived around 3:00pm. The meeting itself
was pretty laid back, and it went very productively considering
we had not discussed any club business since way back in
