 President’s Report:

Well guys, thanks for the warm welcome at my first meeting. It was great to receive so much confidence and respect from some of you.  Personally, I think some of you really need to lighten up and realize this is only model airplane business we are dealing with. You should not feel personally offended by your fellow club members.  This is supposed to be fun. We need to pull together as a team, in order to get the business at hand out of the way, then comes the fun stuff. Of course I also realize that some of you may be more interested in politics, than the actual hobby of building and flying model planes.

The basic concept for any organized club meeting is to work out the business details at hand in an orderly and timely manner.  Instead, what I see happening are people speaking without permission, out of context, and with their own personal agenda’s.  The president is supposed to be in charge of permission to speak.  Once you state your case, you wait in line for your next turn.  Many of you do not seem to understand that once an issue is brought to motion and voted on by the majority of members, that the minority must then respect and abide the decision.  If you do not vote, you also agree to go along.  You should not come to meetings with intent to make personal threats to members you do not agree with.  The majority vote stands.  These rules are basic to any democratic process.  If you refuse to agree to disagree in silence once a majority vote is passed, please stay away from our meetings. I assure you, you are in the wrong place at the wrong time.

I’m sorry to say, that I have very quickly grown tired of the emerging hidden personal and political agenda’s of many members. I will not become a political pincushion for those of you who cannot stand up for your own rights and values.  If that is what you expect of me, then there has been a great misunderstanding as to my true intentions.  The president exists to preside, or manage the meetings, but he should not be expected to enforce any one member’s personal agenda, on their behalf.  If you feel there is a serious behavior issue with any club member, please state it in writing to me, and I will bring it to the Board of Directors attention.  The matter then becomes the sole responsibility of the Board of Directors.

Please feel free to contact me with any concerns, comments, or to argue one on one.

715-537-3225 daytime, 715-637-9395 evenings.

Sincerely your president

Kevin Kuehn
