Laughter is Lighter Than Air
A pilot was sitting in his seat and pulled out a .38
revolver.  He placed it on top of the instrument panel,
and then asked the navigator, “Do you know what I use
this for?”
The navigator replied timidly, “No. What’s it for?”
The pilot responded, “I use this on navigators who get
me lost!”  The navigator proceeded to pull out a .45 and
place it on his chart table.
“What’s that for?” the pilot asked.
“To be honest, sir,” the navigator replied. “I’ll know
we’re lost before you will.”

The President’s Report
As promised, I have included the results of our
membership flying site survey in this month’s
newsletter. A total of 15 members participated as of this
writing. Not everyone circled an answer for every
question.
You may still send your survey in if you
haven’t already. This kind of information is very useful
to our club. It’s very revealing, and takes away a lot of
the mystery shrouding many aspects of our club. It’s
difficult for club officers to make decisions based on
only word of mouth recommendations. Some of the
questions where so overwhelmingly responded to, that
I only regret we did not survey our members and act
earlier.
My observations of our club have indicated that we are
a very independent group, who like to approach our
hobby very casually. Nothing wrong with this in itself,
but it does make it very difficult to make any forward
progress as a club.  One of the biggest complaints I
have heard from fellow members over the last few
years, is that they really do not appreciate any one
person making major decisions for the club.  We have
had a real paradox on our hands.  I know I’m starting to
sound like a dad lecturing again, so I will stop.
Hope to see you at the next meeting.  We have decided
to try Sunday afternoon meetings this winter.  We’ll see
how this goes.  Wayne Barta will be providing
entertainment for the November meeting.  If you have
any ideas for upcoming meeting demo’s or
entertainment, please let us know.  Anyone interested
in a winter fun fly?
