The President’s Report

We were blessed with some very nice fun fly and parade weather considering the average conditions back in June.  I think our June 19th fun fly turned out well. Thanks to all that helped out. Chuck did a great job mowing the grass Thursday before our fun fly. Also thanks to Wayne for heading up the food concessions, and Wally and others that helped out. We had a very impressive Aquafest parade float.  Thanks to Joe, Ray, Rusty, Darwin, Dave, and Wayne.

With our June events behind us, I’m going to just kick back and enjoy the good summer flying weather.  I’m just an enthusiast at heart, not an organizer. I’m also a member of the Ladysmith Prop Busters RC club, and really enjoy flying my larger planes off their very lush grass field.  So, if I’m missing from action, don’t say I didn’t warn you!  It’s only a 40-minute drive from Barron. That field runs east and west, so it’s a very nice retreat with a stiff east or west wind.  I will be trying to attend a few more local fun flys this summer. Hoping to go to New Richmond, Eau Claire and Cumberland. Also will be attending the EAA Air venture 2004 in Oshkosh with my family the week of July 26th.

If you want to go flying, give me a call. I’ll probably beat you to the flying field.  Hoping everyone is having a great summer…  Kevin
