 Meeting: The next meeting will be held Saturday December 13th, at 7:00 p.m. in the library basement. Topics: Elections, Bylaws and Show and Tell.

 

President’s Report: Our annual finance report shows that we have been an active club and we need to raise dues, not only for normal operations but also maintenance and the always unforeseen. The club has voted to the increase the annual dues to $25.00 for adult members and $10.00 for children under the age of 16. Nominations went well, see below for details. Ballots will be sent to all members with this newsletter and are to be returned to Rice Lake Model Airplane Club, P.O. Box 406 Rice Lake WI 54868, no later than Dec.12th 2003. As Elections will be held Dec.13th. Please initial ballot to prevent double voting. 

                                   

Minutes:  Started meeting at 7:07 p.m. 12 members were present. Minutes were read and approved, President showed maps of proposed walking trails and improvements the Parks and Rec. are planning at Moon Lake Park, and it was noted by Joe Zamiski that funding for these plans may be limited. A motion was made and approved to have our club dinner at Dana’s in Rice Lake on Feb 21st, 2004. Darwin Avery has reserved it.  Joe Zamiski conducted the annual audit with the help of Treasurer Chuck Dorey. Joe noted we spent more than we took in, mostly on onetime expenditures. As compared with our first annual audit by James Kaphingst, Joe suggested reasons for increasing our dues. It was stated we currently have 48 members. Dave Strohmeyer motioned to raise dues to $25.00/year for adults and  $10.00/year for children under 16 to keep up with rising costs and to prepare for the unforeseen. After much discussion, motion was approved. Members and the By Laws committee called for an amendment under Dues and Membership Article 9 Sections 3 and 4. The By Laws committee will review this amendment and present their recommendations for approval at the December meeting. A motion was made that pilot trainees, must become members before being trained by our pilot trainers, motion approved. By Laws committee will review this motion for incorporation into our By Laws at our next general meeting.

Board of Directors: Please note after elections, two new directors will be appointed by the new President and the two directors that were elected by membership, Stan Gieseke and Joe Zamiski will remain for one more year.

 

Newsletter Editor: A motion to have our Secretary take the responsibility of  newsletter editor was made by Dave Strohmeyer and approved.

 

Raffle:  The winner for the Lou Andrews trainer airplane was David Strohmeyer.

 

50/50   winner was Duane Nichols

 

 

Special Note: We need an accurate count on how many people will attend our club dinner February 21st. Please send your own RSVP to Duane Nichols 409 Spring St. Somerset WI, 54025.  No later than December 31, 2003. Remember this is for all families of the RLMAC.
