 Meeting:       The next meeting will be held Saturday, June 14th at 9:30AM  at the club field one half hour before our fun fly begins. This will be a short meeting due to the event.

 

PRESIDENTS REPORT:       A special thank you goes to Kevin Lawrence and Menards for supplying materials for our new fence. Construction members were John Moen, Shane Iorns and Tiffany, Joe Zamiski, Kevin L, Don Filter, Duane Nichols, Wayne Barta and Kevin Kuehn.  Also Thanks to Kevin Kuehn and Shane Iorns for repairing the lawn mower and mowing the lawn.

I would like to take a moment to encourage all members to police our field when ever necessary, if you see something that is not ordinary, or someone doing things they shouldn’t be, including but not limited to safety issues, by all means either approach them in a nice way and correct the problem or inform an officer so the problem can be corrected. Thank You. Before our fun fly begins, we have permission to move soccer nets east near the hill as long as we put them back when we’re done….happy landings.             

 

Minutes:   16 members were present. Joe Zamiski reports the Parks and Rec. Board meeting went well with our clubs inquiries as follows. New wood fencing approved. Moving 4 trees under consideration. Traffic control horses with “Flying in Progress” sign approved. Chuck Dorey will build horses. Rusty Selkow has plans for horses. City ordinance will be posted for dog walking. A pavilion will be built behind the garage in 2004.  Motion for post office box for the club was voted and adopted. Box is 3 1/2 x 4. $19.00 every 6 months with 2 keys. PO Box number 406. All club mailings to go to club box. Doug K. hanger 80 x 110 asking $12,000 too much for the club.  Dave Strohmeyer reports summer schedule, see events below. Dave asked for volunteers got 5 or 6.  Parade committee reports parade schedules, see events below. Safety officer /president reports tires on tractor are low, battery’s dead, field clean up day Sunday 10am May 18th. Still looking into incorporation for tax id purposes. A general membership vote was held (for or against probation) of one of our members, 24 members voted, 14 for 10 against. Probation was adopted, ballots were counted by Don Filter and Shane Iorns. Letter by Brooks Heathman was read to the club concerning our by laws. Vote was taken and passed that the board set up how and when to have board meetings. Motion made by Darin Nichols to announce number of total club members at the beginning of each meeting, and how many members attend each meeting.  Shane Iorns to do a CAD layout of our field. 50/50 drawing winner was Stan Gieseke receiving half of pot $7.50, and $7.50 to the club.

 

 

 

Events:. Saturday June 7th Float Fly at Grandpas Train Shop 10:00AM to 6:00 PM

Saturday June 14th Fun Fly at the field 10:00AM to 6:00PM (rain date July 19th Saturday, we will be flying on this day anyway). Sunday August 17th Float Fly at Grandpas Train Shop 10:00AM to 6:00PM  (see Dave Strohmeyer for details or check our web-site.

Rice Lake Aquafest parade Sunday June15th, Mikana parade Friday July 4th and the Cumberland parade is Sunday August 24th. Contact our parade committee for questions.
