President’s Report: Congratulations to Duane Nichols, and all the supporting officers of the 2001-2003 term for a job well done. You’re going to be a hard act to follow. Well, it looks I’ve gotten myself into exactly where I never thought I’d be. But I think with the help of you guys I can pull this off. I have decided my new motto as club president is going to be “you get what you pay for”. I feel this club should be a working collaboration of what every member is willing to bring to the table. I don’t believe in calling any one person’s efforts or actions a club. My emphasis will be on trying to find out what you as members want, and are willing to contribute. I would really like to keep our goals and activities in perspective with what our membership is comfortably capable of doing as a team. Putting undo burden on any one individual makes a real job out of this hobby. Whatever direction this takes us in, I think we can have a lot of fun, and to me, that is what this hobby is all about...your president, Kevin Kuehn.

Minutes:  Started meeting at 7:00 p.m. 12 members were present. Minutes were read and approved, A brief paragraph of the AMA rules were read to inform members of the basic coverage, and how it is applied in case of an incident. A previous motion was approved to amend the bylaws article 9 section 1 and 3. Our committee has amended to now read, (1). Annual club dues are to be paid by January 31st of the current year. After Jan 31st,  a $10.00 late charge will be incurred in addition to regular dues. (3). New members who join after July 1st will pay a prorated membership fee of half of the regular dues (currently $12.50). A motion for pilot trainers to come up with wording for a new article called “ Pilot Training” in our bylaws was approved. Trainers have 2 months to work on this. Wording should include something on new members being trained before or after joining the club. There was a suggestion for updating our safety rules, and displaying them at the field. We are invited to the model train show February 7th and 8th, at the mall in Rice Lake where we can display our airplanes etc…We have also been invited to Menomonee WI, to display our planes sometime in April.  50/50 winner was Chuck Dorey. Meeting adjourned.
