 Meeting: The next meeting will be held Sunday, September14^th 1:00pm at the field. Bring something to fly.

 

President’s Report: I recently had a chance to visit and fly with other clubs around Northern Wisconsin and Minnesota. In my travels, I noticed every club out there is really no different than ours, with the exception of the flying fields. In fact I found we have many advantages. (Rent free, a long runway, bathrooms, a central location etc… Other club fields do not have these luxuries. Obstruction similarities include buildings, trees, etc…Over all, our field ranks with some of the best around. Reason for mention?  The field is the heart of the club.  Think about it.                                                                                                                                                                                   

 

Minutes:  12 members were present. Minutes were approved as read. Treasurer’s report read and documented. Pilot trainer issues were brought up. Don has been doing all the training. Darin was supposed to build trainer with money club issued him. Where is it?  James Kaphingst never got money to build a trainer. Dave Strohmeyer has 2 trainers available to the club. Paint day is scheduled for Sunday September 7^th at 10:00. Volunteers are Jack, Wayne, Duane, and Chuck if he has time. Keeping the Crapper, we are keeping the crapper for its original intended use, at Chuck Dorey`s. Chuck says his field dimensions should be roughly 60x300 of mowed runway with taller grass all around. How many flying events should we host each year? Next meeting. Suggestion, do fun, competitive things at our meets, such as spot landings, highest vertical, etc…with prizes for winners. A date for a club dinner will be set at our next meeting. All members and families encouraged to come.

Congratulations: to Jim and Jamie Kaphingst with the birth of their (baby boy) Alexander James Kaphingst, Born August 19th, 4 pounds 15 oz. 19 inches long. Still in hospital but doing well.
